About me
I am an assistant professor of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at the Department of Public Health Sciences and Hollings Cancer Center in the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). I previously worked as a post-doctoral fellow with Prof. Debashis Ghosh and Prof. Katerina Kechris on statistical methods for Single-cell Imaging and Multi-omics analysis. I received Ph.D. in Biostatistics in 2020 from the Division of Biostatistics, University of Minnesota working with Prof. Saonli Basu on the topic of Genome-wide Association Analysis and efficient estimation of SNP-based Heritability. Before that, I did Bachelors (2014) and Masters (2016) in Statistics from Indian Statistical Institue, Kolkata.
My research interests include Spatial Statistics, Single-cell Imaging, Multi-omics Networks, Information Theory, Statistical Methods in Genetics, and Functional Data Analysis. Feel free to contact if you would like to work with me in any of these areas.
